In 2000, Congress passed the Cardiac Arrest Survival Act; requiring federal action that was expected to, and did, accelerate the widespread use of automated external defibrillators in the battle against sudden cardiac arrest, one of the nation's leading killers. The Cardiac Arrest Survival Act requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop recommendations and guidelines for AED placement and use in federal buildings nationwide and in post offices and other buildings housing federal agencies.

 Provides economical storage that's built to last. Wall-mounted Cabinet is fabricated with 20-gauge, cold-rolled steel and has a durable, high gloss, white electrostatic powder coat finish. Unit includes a complete, solid die cast, chrome-plated handle, adjustable roller catch, heavy-duty hinge, AED decals and a clear acrylic door alarm. Key-activated audible door alarm optional. Alarm is designed to blare louder than other units. 9-volt battery alarm system can be adjusted for a loud piercing sound of 85 db to as high as 120 db. Cabinet is 17-1/2"h x 17-1/2"w x 7" deep. Clear Polycarbonate AED Enclosure cabinet also available - withstand tough environments with the same material used to make football helmets. 105dB alarm optional.
